Since my husband and I were aware of the great injustice being done to thousands of dogs and cats in this country, we decided to set out to help those who cannot on their own because they have no voice. Once on the march, we realized that we lived alien to the animal reality in our country, we would never have imagined that it was so serious. So we decided to acquire knowledge about dog psychology and behavior, we were going to rescue an average of 80-100 dogs a year, so, better to know how their minds think and function to be able to carry out this work with the best guarantees of success. Our job is to rescue them, treat them clinically and psychologically, but the hardest thing is to recover their broken souls, we introduce them into our (protective) home in the herd and from there we work their socialization, fears, phobias, insecurities, aggressiveness, and other behaviors originated by the mistreatment or insociabilization, we prepare them to live in society and to adapt without problems in the coexistence of a home. After dealing with their physical and psychological pathologies and being ready to start a family life, we look for that home and that happy ending so desired.
Our work understands neither timetable nor seasons, our work is 24 hours a day 365 days a year, an endless struggle that has no end and that unlike seeing or getting less and less, there is more and worse. Unfortunately we live in one of the most mistreated and neglected communities in Spain next to Castilla la Mancha and Extremadura, in our province, Almeria there is unfortunately still a lot of hunting, grazing is still practiced and a lot of inculturation on the well-being of the animal, with which, in a province like Almeria with only 700,000 inhabitants there are more than 8000 abandonments per year almost 2000 of them are from the region of Nijar with 30,000 inhabitants, region in which we reside. We house in our house an average of 25-30 dogs plus cats, we give them protection, trust and love and they respond in the only way they know, LOYALTY.
